Episode 8 brings us back to basics - our core values and our bodies. Erica Carlson and Megan Hart share the practices that help them celebrate the seasons, listen to their bodies, and stay anchored to their core values during these trying times.
We close out Season 1 with the POTUS telling a story of the miracle of belonging and inviting us to double down on connecting with our community.
This Week's Guests
Erica Carlson (she/her)
I’m Erica Carlson (she/her), and I help women like you to align your life around what truly fills you up, and reconnect with your highest self - so you can live your life with fierce joy and purpose. My core values include heartfelt connection, spirit alchemy, dream tending, and embracing of my wild woman and inner creatrix. If I could tell you one thing, it's that you're not selfish or ungrateful for wanting more.
My purpose in life is to help women deeply connect with who they're meant to be and feel happy, fulfilled and whole. My signature offering, Not Your Momma's Values, is a coaching program that brings you back into connection with who you were before other people "should" all over you. We strip away other people's expectations, fears and shame to get to your own core values. Then you get to dream up how to put them in action and create a personalized plan. I'd never leave you hanging with your new found clarity and no idea how to live into it.
I'm an entrepreneur, wife, lover, creatrix, witch, and a Creative Depth Coach, certified through JourneyPath Institute.
Quirky facts about me (in case you’re wondering):
- I’m an artist at heart, with a love for creating oil paintings of realistic flowers. But if you ask me to draw a person, they’ll end up looking like Mr. Potato Head (portraits are hard y’all).
- Spellwork, I’m unapologetically into it, and it’s amazing how effective a good ‘cord cutting’ spell can be in removing unwanted influences (and ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends).
- I groove to 70s classic rock and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
- I'll do most anything for my close-knit group of friends, including signing up for a couple of marathons despite not enjoying running (and omg yes, nipple chafing and lost toenails are a thing).
Megan Hart (she/her)
Megan Hart is an Embodiment Coach & Embodied Yoga, Movement & Meditation Teacher based in the lush Pacific Northwest. She is a devotee of Kashmir Śaivism/Nondual Śaiva Tantra (to be discerned from neo-tantra).
In her private coaching and group classes she facilitates a safe, nurturing, empowering, trauma-informed & non-judgmental space for clients & students to drop down from the analyzing mind, into the deep wisdom inherent in each person’s body. In this space, one can experience and feel what is authentically true for oneself, and what one can trust within their self, and in life. Megan got into this work because it was also the medicine she needed. As a self-described former disembodied human, she deeply feels this work is the medicine for our time. (Forbes even recently published an article on this very topic.)
Her teachers include Michaela Boehm (Wild Woman’s Way), Christopher Wallis (Tantra Illuminated), Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen (Body-Mind Centering), & Jenna Ward (School of Embodied Arts).
When not coaching, writing, reading, yogaing or teaching, Megan can be found communing with nature in various ways; hiking, backpacking, kayaking, trail-running, mushroom-hunting, playing and simply being. We are ultimately Embodied by Nature™.
She recently created a silly, very Pacific Northwest video to help bring a little playfulness to the challenging times we are in - please enjoy! Sasquatch Yoga
