Welcome new friend! We're glad you've stopped by to join us. This post is especially for you. We'll tell you a little about what we're doing here, and give you some pointers about how to get started listening.
Let's begin with what the My Beloved Americans Podcast is exactly. In each episode, you'll hear a mock State of the Union address by an imaginary President. It's the kind of SOTU that we wish we were getting. We're pretending that the current administration has retired and a new administration has stepped in. We know it doesn't quite work like that in real life, so just pretend along with us. Following the SOTU, you'll hear our distinguished guests discuss the topics and themes from the address.
What do we talk about? We explore conversations around belonging, beloved community, leadership and politics. My Beloved Americans is an earnest satire that hopes to leave our audience feeling more connected and more inspired to create change. We examine what it could look like for the United States of America to foster beloved community as a way to solve humanity's most existential problems.
If you listen and like it here are some additional ways you can support us.
